#WardrobeWednesday : Leather Weather

May 10, 2017

One of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach is Saint & Second, which is located on 2nd Street in Belmont Shores.  Not only is the decor very hip and modern, the food is absolutely divine!  Seriously, all I’m thinking about is the East Coast Oysters I had, which you can check it out here.  Of the dishes that I had at this restaurant, I realized that I have a high preference for anything citrus.  Saint & Second is definitely known for their cocktail drinks, which I also highly recommend getting if you ever stop by.  The masterminds behind the bar knows how to equally balance the ingredients in their drinks that can keep both your taste buds flowing and leave you at a good level.

I can pretty much can create a love note on about Saint & Second, but that’s not what this post is going to be about.  You all would have to experience the place yourself!  What I would like to share with you is an outfit most fitted for the recent California weather or what I’d like to call “Leather Weather.”  Seriously, I’m wearing leather in late spring…Apparently, the gloomy, chilly weather is normal for Southern California in May, as it was reported on NPR just the other day.  Check out how I’ve been dressing for it below:

Outerwear: Zara Biker Style Jacket (similar) | Shoes: Lucky Brand Lakmeh (similar)

Lucky Brand’s ‘Lisza’ Open Toe Bootie featured here were shoes sold at various retailers for $100+ about a year ago.  You know that feeling of regret where you wanted a certain an item that was right in front of you, but decided not to get?  That’s what I went through with these shoes.  Luckily, I stumbled upon Dillards via online and found a pair in my size for just $80!  This was just a month or two ago, and now they are completely sold out.  Not only are these shoes cute (received many compliments for them by the way), they are “somewhat” comfortable.  I say “somewhat” because, for some reason, the area under my toe creates blisters.  The shoes are good enough to walk-in, in terms of lightness and such, but those blisters are not fun…I feel like it’s an issue that can be fixed, so I’ll let you know once I figure that out…But, all-in-all, #noregrets.

If you’re wearing any leather during this time of year, feel free to share it in the comments below!
