How would I describe fashion? Fashion is almost like acting. Actors are given characters to play so they dig into the depths and complexities of the role until they finally bring that character to life. Even though actors are portraying a character that is not themselves, the actor somehow brings a sense of self into that role. What I choose to wear is the exact same thing — I get inspired by the different characters (fictional or not) and add a personal touch to it (that’s call stylin’ babe). For instance, when I was growing up, I was highly influenced by The Westside Story so I mixed it in with some mid-twentieth century fashion. Take a glimpse of the outfit combo below!
Below are the deets:
- “Pork Pie” Bowler Hat, Topshop — completely sold out, but you can find a similar one here
- Joey Black Denim Jacket, Honey Punch — found this jacket at a sample sale held at the pr agency I’m currently interning at, but lucky you you can find it here as well
- Chuck Taylors (low sneakers), Converse — item is set at the same price in all retailers, including this one here
